Hand-painted in watercolour, pencil and ink and composed digitally, this botanical illustration explores Kawakawa, a native New Zealand plant recognised for its heart-shaped leaves and natural markings formed by looper caterpillars.

Inspired by nature-led wellness and Māori healing traditions, the artwork was created with beverage packaging and botanical branding applications in mind, lending itself naturally to tonic water, wellness products, and nature-inspired packaging design.
