Puriri Moths

The Puriri Moth is New Zealand’s largest native moth, found in the North Island and known for its striking green wings and slow, transformative life cycle within the Puriri tree.

These illustrations are inspired by its symbolism of deep healing, truth, and inner transformation. Often associated with change that cannot be ignored, the Puriri Moth invites reflection, intuition, and turning inward toward personal clarity.

A reminder that even in darkness, there is an internal light guiding the way forward.
